Grid Serie
Basierend auf der sechsteiligen Paneel Installation „Metamorphosis“ aus dem Jahre 2021 entstanden in den folgenden knapp zwei Jahren bis Ende 2022 das vertikal-orthogonale Bildprojekt „VERTIKAL“. Aus den sechs unterschiedlichen senkrechten Linienraster („Grid“ genannt) wurden zahlreiche vertikale Bildgrafiken entwickelt. Ihr artifizieller Bildaufbau und Komposition wurden aus eben diesen Linearrastern entnommen und als grafische Objekt-Unikate realisiert. Die durchgehende Formatgröße von 160 x 60 cm wurde vom Tafelmaß der „Metamorphosis“- Installation vorgegeben. Ihre jeweiligen Grundraster definierten so die Gestaltung der gesamten Grid Serie bis ins Detail.
Interessant bei der Bildgestaltung der Grid Serien I – VI war nicht nur der sichtbare Linienraster, sondern im Verbund auch seine Zwischenräume, deren Belegung mit Farbe erst eine durchgängige Flächigkeit möglich machte. Dabei entstanden sozusagen „systematische Bildobjekte“, die sich aus Linien, Streifen, und Feldern zusammensetzten und die Ordnung des jeweiligen Grundrasters verborgen reflektierten. Innerhalb dieser Lineaturen und Flächennetze war vieles möglich.
Grid Series
Based on the six-part panel installation ``Metamorphosis`` from 2021, the vertical-orthogonal image project ``VERTIKAL`` was created in the following almost two years until the end of 2022. Numerous vertical image graphics were developed from the six different vertical line grids (``grids`` as they are called). Their artificial image structure and composition were taken from these same linear grids and realized as unique graphic objects. The continuous format size of 160 x 60 cm was determined by the panel dimensions of the ``Metamorphosis`` installation. Their respective basic grids thus defined the design of the entire grid series down to the last detail.
What was interesting in the image design of the Grid Series I - VI was not only the visible grid of lines, but also its interstices, which were covered with color to make a continuous two-dimensionality possible. In the process, ``systematic pictorial objects`` were created, so to speak, which were composed of lines, stripes, and fields and reflected the order of the respective basic grid in a hidden way. Within these lineatures and surface networks, many things were possible.
